THE Best movies of the 80’s Part1

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
This movie came out in 1990 and was one of the top-grossing movies in history. Based on characters from a comic book, ninja turtles rescue reporter April O'Neil from bandits, while the Foot Clan, led by Destroyer raises  a crime wave in New York City.
Who doesn't remember the master who you cannot know if it's a hamster or mouse.

The toy killer
On the night of November 9, 1988. Charles Lee Ray, the notorious "Lakeshore Strangler", is being pursued by Detective Mike Norris. Abandoned by his partner in crime Eddie Caputo, the killer is hiding in a toy store, where he is fatally wounded by a shot in the heart by policeman. But before dying he uses his knowledge of black magic voodoo and transfers his soul to a Good Guys doll line, which at the time was being advertised on TV. The doll that contains the soul of the murderer is found dead by a homeless man who sells it to Karen Barclay as a birthday gift for his six-year-old son Andy Barclay. Now living like the Chucky doll, Charles discovers he needs to transfer his soul from the body of the doll to the first person to whom he revealed his secret, Andy, to resurrect or he will be stuck in the doll forever
Very good indeed.

Home Alone

Launched in 1990, "Home Alone" tells the story of Kevin, an eight years old boy, forgotten by his family at home on the eve of a trip to Paris at Christmas time. Kevin starts to run over the house in his way. Then, enters in scene a couple of miscreants, Harry and Marv, who plans to rob the mansion. However, the bandits did not have knowledge about how smart was the boy, who force them to fall into several traps.
Funny what he does with those thieves that even makes you pity them

Beetlejuice

Adam Maitland and his wife Barbara are a couple residing in Winter River, Connecticut. The couple decides to go on vacation, but the road has a car accident and they fall into the river. When they return home, they don’t remember how they got back - and when Adam tries to trace the path back to the bridge he found a desert with giant earthworms. Returning home, the Maitland discovers a book entitled Handbook for the Recently Deceased, making them realize that they died. Soon the couple discovers that Barbara’s sister sold the house for Deetz, a family of yuppies from New York. The family consists of businessman Charles, his wife Delia who is a sculptor, and Lydia, the gothic teenage daughter. Adam and Barbara decide to expel Deetz, but cannot be seen by the living, so their attempts have no effect. They decided then to go to the underworld after help, and find out that it is a place marked by bureaucracy, with a huge waiting room. After get a password and be called, they are told that they have to spend 125 years in their home, and receive a book to learn how to haunt. After unsuccessful attempts (which only make Lydia perceive them), they decide to seek help from the ghost specialized in "exorcise the living" Betelgeuse / Beetlejuice.

The alien E.T.

One of the best works that the blockbuster cinema brought us in the '80s. A 1982 film, Et was one of the biggest blockbuster in movie history. The story is simple, while being powerful. In the plot, an alien is forgotten on Earth and is befriended with an Earthling who tries to help the creature to return home. To disrupt, the U.S. government wants to keep the poor creature.
Very cool but E.T is damn ugly.

Superman

I loved the Superman movies. There was never a Clark Kent like Christopher Reeve.
"It’s a bird?, no, it's a plane?, no it's Superman!

Edward Scissorhands

A movie from the 90’s, directed by Tim Burton. In the film, a troubled young man named Edward.
He would have been created by a mad inventor, and peculiarly possess scissors instead of hands. Before dying, Edward’s "father" would present him with a pair of hands made by him at Christmas. But before he could put them on Edward, he dies. After the death of his "father" Edward is left alone where they lived, a huge and old mansion. One day, a cosmetics saleswoman knocks on Edward’s door and found him there all alone. She then decides to take him home, where Edward has difficulty socializing, mainly due to the prejudice shown by the neighborhood. But little by little hebecomes popular thanks to the talent he has.
Classic, very good indeed

Planet of the Apes

Planet of the Apes is a series of three science fiction films that tells what happened to the human race after the monkeys have evolved and learned to speak, is a film that opened interesting discussions about the direction of humanity. Mainly because it came out introubled times in world politics, when the whole society on the planet feared (was
regardedas a certainty) a nuclear war that would annihilate the two superpowers.

STAR WARS

The end of the 70's and early 80's brought upscience fictionblockbusters. Along that time, emerged a super classic, which would affect the American cinema asno one: It was Star Wars. Although it was not science fiction, was something that was called "Space Opera", a fantasy movie on a distant galaxy. The film won several awards including the Oscar for best special effects. The film gave rise to a series, and several franchises, such as literature, cartoons, toys, special effects industry has reached a standard of quality never seen before, video games, comics ... A  lot of things that made the young director George Lucas one of the most fortunate of Hollywood.

Herbie - The Love Bug

Very cool, although simple, is better than many movies nowadays.

King Solomon's Mines -

This was a sort of more humble Indiana Jones production, but had all the rest, temples, traps, and chasings in the forest, volcanoes and Indians coming out of nowhere. Things falling and people jumping from the top of cliffs in small rivers.Typical adventure movie. It has also in the same line Everything for an Emerald.

Police Academy -
Pure 80's, this film was the kind of comedy where you join a bunch of people and put these guys in everyday situations and wait for the result. The best was undoubtedly the man who could make weird sounds, became a franchise and even a cartoon.

The Abduction from the Golden Boy -

As we can see, the 80’s were prolific for Eddie Murphy. In this film he is a guy who has to protect a child who is a kind of "Buddha" from none other than the devil, full of supernatural powers, really cool and when the devil comes straight before them it was well done for the time.

 Back to the Future -

Who does not remember Martin McFly, "Dr." and even Biff, did not live in the 80's. Back to the Future has a story relatively simple but very powerful. A guy goes back in time and gets himself into trouble. This time, he's a teenager, a friend of a crazy scientist and the time machine is a Delorean. A very good movie, very well done and very well tied.

Gremlins -

Who has not felt full of desire to have a gizmo just for yourself? He was cuddly and cute. But he could not be fed after midnight. Neither being wet. And guess what happens in the movie? That's right. Both, it makes the friendly and furry Gizmo gives rise to hundreds of animals that bring terror in the city.

The neverending story -

Very good this movie. In the story a boy with social problems takes refuge in an attic with a mysterious book. As he read, he feel that the book talks about him. A very interesting and intelligent story about fables, fantasy realms, heroes and dragons faced as a furry dog, which was pretty cool.

Get you out there -

A very good movie. Really disturbing. The guy just starts by touching on the arm of a new student, a giant and bad guy, so the nerd are swear to be beaten up. Insofar as the hours go by, the kid will see that it is getting time to get beaten and does everything to avoid his tragic fate. Encourages a little violence, butthere was not this kind of puritanical concern in the 80's.

        The fantastic chocolate factory –
A sensational work, with the chocolate river and all, not forgetting about the oompa-loompas.

Blue Lagoon -

Who has never watched it throw the first stone. Even if are a little slushy. The film is also a classic and shows two innocent young people who take refuge on an island and grow there without knowing anything about sex, love, etc..
