The case was almost lunchtime on Tuesday (21). A criminal broke into a rectory, in Londrina, northern Paraná, to rob. The priest stood for 62 years and held the thief, "embraced the devil," he says. But some time later, without force, the cleric fell to the ground. Then came the surprise.
The robber repented and, seeing the bloody priest, called the Integrated Service of Emergency Trauma Care (SIAT) before fleeing, jumping a window. He left behind everything that had separated to steal. The priest says he holds no grudges and is willing not only to embrace, but also the kissing bandit. Masses should return to normal this week.
